So I was looking for more 80s anime with poofy hair and aerobics scenes and stumbled across an amazing GIF. Turns out it was from something called Gu-Gu-Ganmo. Specifically, episode 48 which is pretty much all aerobics themed. The green haired girl is Linda Skylark, an American girl living in Japan who kinda sorta bullies the main character a bit. The blonde is her older sister who shows up in very few episodes.
The anime itself? It's just a dumb comedy anime about a boy who winds up with a pet talking alien chicken that wears sneakers and hijinx ensue...and it inexplicably has AMAZING animation for no good reason!
...it's also REALLY f'ed up. DO NOT search this anime on YouTube or you'll find all sorts of weird fetish clips! Specifically of girls farting and boys in their underwear and maybe a bit of the main character getting his balls crushed constantly. I learned this the hard way, now YouTube won't stop recommending anime girl fart videos. yay.
The song is the ending theme to Gall Force: Eternal Story which I swear translated to "A Journey with Both Hands Full". I only now realize it's a joke on the fact that "Journey" and "Johnny" sound very similar in Japanese. Either way it has been stuck in my head for decades.
Really this AMV is partially an accident. I was just clipping out some of my favorite scenes, grabbed the most 80s song I could think of, and they all kinda synced up for the first part so I rolled with it.
